The Levels where all the terrible flooding has occurred are about ten miles from the house. Fortunately Myrtle House is not subject to flooding!

If you followed the BBC’s production of Wolf Hall, and are interested in seeing where it was filmed, then Myrtle House is ideally situated as a base. Montacute House (Greenwich Palace) is about 13 miles, and Barrington Court ( York Place, Whitehall) is even closer at just 5 miles. Both properties are owned by the National Trust.

Now there is a display of the costumes used in the series, at Barrington Court.
